Hi Guys,
I am an EB category GC applicant. I am living in US on AOS pending status and working on EAD. I don't have any other legal status in US. My previous H1 expired long back. I also changed my company after filing I-485.
I am thinking of visiting India now. I will be carrying my I-485 receipt and my AP for this travel. My question is, can I face any difficulty while boarding a flight in India since I do not have any valid visa stamp for US in my passport? If I remember well the immigration counter in India also verifies a person's visa before letting him/her proceed on the journey.
Also, can anybody foresee any problems while reentering at the US immigration checkpoint in such a case?
Can somebody who traveled outside US on just I-485 receipt and AP share their experience with me?
You don't even need the I-485 receipt. Just the AP is enough. However, what you do need to check for is if the airline you're boarding has a changeover stop and if you need a transit visa because many airlines like BA require a transit visa if you're entering the US on an AP.

There is one way in which this service might be making money. Every time you make a call, your phone company has to give a small amount of money to the receiving party's phone company. Freecall2india might have an understanding with their telephone service provider to give them a portion of this money. There are plenty of companies that provide free conference call facilities and they use this business model and have been viable for quite a while.
Given that a call to India is costlier than providing a conference call facility, will FreeCall2India make enough money from this business model? That is the million dollar question.

I think OP is correct as CIR will not pass this year. Remember Mr bush took advantage 8 years ago and won election. Even he may knew that it will not pass. Same way Raid may know that it may not pass but what is wrong to take advantage of pushing CIR. Even if it doesnot pass or introduced he may win because Hispanic will think if he wins he may bring CIR for sure.
Now in near future Mr President does not have any benefit of CIR unless he runs for next term. So for him delayed CIR is good. till 2011. So it may be win-win for both. Raid will make a vocal for it now and will win election and OBAMA will keep silence and make attempt in 2011. If passes or not he may win election again.
Only catch is if hispanic people think that Replicans didnot help them and now dems not going to help again so they may not give vote to Dems as punishment and that may hurt.

We came back yesterday May 1st, my wife's stamp is only until May 31st and mine until Aug 30th but we had the extended approval notices. Both H1s. We both got stamped until the end of the extension date on the I 797. I don't think you'll have any problem.

Thanks Stemcell. I am still on my H1-B, but my wife has been working using her EAD. We are seeing and hearing different things. We are obviously planning to appeal, but the problem is will USCIS cancel the I-485 immediately or will the I-485 be denied with the ultimate denial (after appeal, if thats our fate)? We are hearing it both ways, so am really not sure - but your friend's case gives me a little relief.

In the table it mentions "April 24, 2007" as the date for EB based 485 adjustment applications.
Just for one sec assume that above date is right. What does "processing completion" of your 485 means? Does that mean your case is pre-adjudicated and waiting for the visa number and you won't get any RFE?
Also, when they are mentioning "April 24, 2007" date , are they ignoring the applicants who are stuck in namecheck process for years? If a person has filed 485 in 2005 or 2006 but stuck in namecheck, how come 485 is completed?

Dustinthewind, the preview has good background score and the shots are appropriate. The narrative (labels) that show up are also quite captivating. All together it looks very good and promising, however, I would have liked to see some diaglogues also in between. Maybe a tiny bit longer would have been better. We definitely need to hear the voices of the actors to make it all the more compelling. If there are tragic scenes in the movie a glimpse of those would also be great. Anyway I am not requesting you to change anything but just suggesting a few ways such previews could be more effective. [/I]

There is no way to delay it. The only thing you could have done was, NOT send a document like employment letter, or didnt complete all vaccinations for medical. This wd generate an RFE, but at least wdnt catch you by surprise....

The online status of my package on USPS tracking page shows same message as yours. It just struck me that how can a certified mail be delivered to the agency if one is sending it to a PO Box. I mean how can USPS get a delivery signature from a real person if the address is not a physical address, but a PO Box number. Any thoughts?
I dont know if other Folks have seen the same thing. My renewal EAD application has reached Texas (TSC) today June 5th around noon by USPS Express Mail but the status says
