I am planning on changing to another company but I dont have the labor certification details. All I know is, it is Software Engineer and have salary details and some basic job requirements. My I-140 is approved. If I move to another company on EAD, and if I get an RFE, how can I provide the details of same/similar employment?

This is precisely why my Lawyer (amongst the top) advised to maintain H1B (so keep filing for extensions).
If your H1 expires and you are here based on AOS 485 > and for some reason 485 gets rejected you are out of status.

I totally applaud him/her if he is making 300K a year and my advice to him/her is that you should not care wether you have a h1b or not, GC or not etc. Just make sure that you deposit your earnings in swiss banks and whenever USCIS throws you out show them the middle finger and go live in Aruba,. Success Formula for EB2-I:
1)- Get rid of all EB3 => EB2 conversions
2)- Get rid of all Subs
And there you go we have a fair FIFO system, but hey do our desi folks agree with this :eek: I bet they don't, when they themselves don't like FIFO and straightforward system and how come we expect USCIS to be straightforward and follow FIFO:confused:
Moral of story: Hang in where you are, its already very complicated PD,RD, ND, Country cap, EB cat ... blah .... blah

Started this thread just to encourage us after oct bulletin:
We know that unless a bill is passed (SKIL), retrogression issue cant be solved. It is not an easier task to accomplish but a task that needs more courage and efforts. Each time when we see the visa bulletin with no movement in dates, we feel more depressed but we should always remember this, no matter how many times we fall or pushed back, our goal is to get up and move with more strength. Now everyone is going through tough phases of life in one way or the other. This is not new for us, we have dealt this type of problems before.
As people say: "good things will happen to those who wait". Our team efforts (in IV), our hard work and prayers will definitely move the mountains. All we need now is faith and patience so that we can put focussed efforts to pass this SKIL bill by end of this year. Soon we will find ways to achieve this.

Thank you for the very helpful information. This is exactly what I plan to do unless the IO at the port-of-entry specifically asks for the travel doc. I sure hope that it doesn't come to that because I don't want to use the travel doc.
When we have traveled to Matamoros, MX for stamping we had AP and H1/H4. On return we have used H1/H4. NO questions asked at the border check post.
