I am a july 2007 filler as well and my GC was approved last month though the processing date was few months behind. I know some other cases as well whose 485 was approved when the processing date was not current. So i would say that just stay positive and keep your fingers crossed. Happy days should be just around the corner.
can you share more details about your case?

Soft LUD for me. It was so soft that it didnt even update the date.
New term: Very Soft LUD. No visible change to the naked eye, but something is cooking behind the scenes regarding your case
And how to you differentiate between soft lud and very soft lud?:o

Thats informative. My receipt is SRC-07-264-XXXXX. The received date is July 2 and notice date is Sept 4. I dont think my application was received on the 264th working day. Even if you consider Sept 4 as the 264th day, that means that there are about 274 working days in a year (Fiscal -Sept 30 or otherwise). That seems too high!
Fiscal year 07, starts for USCIS from Oct 1st 2006 - Add 264 USCIS working days - it should match to Sep 4th

So far only 1327 members signed the petition. This needs around 5000 signatures.
This will show the number of filed I-485 applications to Chertoff..Please sign..
--------------------------------------------------
Please sign your petition and give support to Congresswoman Lofgren's requests from her letter dated July 9th, 2007. Doing so is the only way we can begin to restore fairness to this process.

Immigration reform is not even in the list of items. This reflects the priority of CIR in president's todo list.

I think the Sen.Cornyn's staff do not mind when we call. They like people that support their bill. We have to call just to maintain the momentum.

Please move the Web fax link or any improtant event at the center of the home page. Most New members will now come thro. word of mouth, so the introduction of IV can be moved down.

I am sorry, I dont know the answer to your question.
But on the other hand, your friend, his hot shot MBA job...is it in Wall Street? involving bundling mortgage based assets & leveraged options on those?

Hi Indiana... :)
If you are stuck  with your PERM LC being auditted by DOL, several of us in the same situation are sending letters to them as well as promoting assistance thru Congressmen.
Some of us have got a response  from DOL already about it, so go to http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19432 for more details and participate.
Regards,

I know this is not the original question asked, but I have heard that bad driving record surely does affect your green card processing!
Any criminal activity that pertains to driving would show up but the screening excludes traffic violations (parking, speeding, lane rule breaking, and other moving violations). In some states repeated rule breaking leads to criminal record, may be you have heard in that context. DUI, hit and run, not stopping for accidents, damage to public or private property and not reporting it etc. are also bad driving practices (if one survive any of them ;-)) and might lead to
criminal records and get flagged.

Please admin I need help here. I am leaving my best job and going back to join worst desi employer just to file for 485. But I am scared to death what if he denies to file my 485? what are the documents needed if he denies?
Otherwise I will be from nowhere .
Like I said, please contact a good lawyer for best possible course of action. You will need 140 approval photocopy at the minimum. If you have that, then its possible to file 485 behind employer's back BUT PLEASE CONSULT A LAWYER as there may be pitfalls that apply to your case and you need to know about them.

Hmm.. maybe i did not make it clear.
What I meant was, if you make 4 copies of your photo and use two of them in one application, then USCIS is not allowing you to use remaining two afterwards claiming that picture should be recent and 'unused'. They are asking of 'different' picture altogether.

Some lawyers ask for bank statement and w2s and file I 864 with GC to show proof that you can support your dependents(if you have any). Ideally I 864 is only required when you file Family based GC.
Some other lawyers similarly ask for I 134 and bank statement to show that you can support dependents. Again this is NOT REQUIRED.
There is no clarity on what should be done. Each lawyer has his/her own style of filing 485 so if your lawyer asked for it, provide it. If not, don't bother. I know of people filing with and without 864 or 134 and still getting approved.
yeah why bank statment? My attoreny did say anything about tax return either ? are you sureeeeeeeeeeeee?
