Michael Sheen's Dramatic FanFicion Reading!

And this is why he's dating Rachel McAdams...

Best Week Ever featured Michael reading from fanfiction Unexpected Circumstance:

"Sheen obliged without any hesitation, and what we were given…. was magic."

Has anyone read this fic? I've not heard of it before but promptly added it to my list...

Vampire? Schmampire! Am I the only one digging a wolfy looking Michael Sheen?

Update: the Twilight Lexicon has a super useful list of more Twilight related project at Cannes:

Peter Facinelli’s Loosies

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene A Warrior’s Heart (filmed just post filming of Twilight before Twilight hit theaters)

Alex Meraz City of Gardens

Jackson Rathbone The Idiot (Jackson’s name was just attached to this film today!)

Bryce Dallas Howard Restless (film debut)

Stephenie Meyer The Host

P.s. I'm also adding On The Road into this mix as I hear it's being shown to US domestic buyers this Sunday evening :)

Cute couple alert!

Was that Rob Pattinson's Cannes photocall for really two whole years ago?

We've yet to see him or Kristen gracing la cote d'azure in 2011 but Michael and Rachel are making a run for fave couple on the red carpet.

Before dolling up for the Woody Allen premiere, Michael also attended a photocall for his new film Midnight in Paris.

Michael Sheen Talks Breaking Dawn To MTV

Sorry about the late posting... Both Lorabell and I have been locked out of Blogger. ANNOYING!

Anyway- Michael Sheen spoke with MTV about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Here is a little piece from the interview-
"There are things that for people who even know the books very, very well I
think will be surprises," Sheen told MTV News as he promoted Woody Allen's
"Midnight in Paris." "Without giving too much away, there are things that stay
very true to the book, but there are a couple of things that I think will draw
gasps of breath from people," he teased.

Breaking Dawn Cast Encounter in Baton Rouge!

Bloggy buds over at Letters to Twilight got an email from a Twilight fan, Stephenie who'd gone down to Baton Rouge on business...

Outside of work, she went to check out the Breaking Dawn studio, where "someone even thought I was Bella, told me to get on set & into bed with 'Edward!'" - ummm... which way to set?

However, lucky Stephenie was also staying at the cast's HOTEL - gaaah!

Rather than stalking/fan-girling/tweeting their locations she played it cool and DIDN'T EVEN ASK ROB FOR A PHOTO when they were eating at the same sushi restaurant one night! ...although she did get a couple of sneaky shots of him in the background - who wouldn't?!

A little later in the night it seems she placated her non-Rob woes by asking nicely for pics with Jamie, Michael and Erik who were happy to oblige :)

...Road trip anyone?

Dates Confirmed for Michael Sheen in Hamlet

A few weeks ago we post about Michael planning on taking to the London stage for his role in Hamlet - now the performance dates have been confirmed so you can get tickets to see this awesomeness live!

Playbill report:
Hamlet will begin performances Oct. 28, prior to an official opening Nov. 9, for a season through Jan. 21 2012. Lan commented, "Michael Sheen and Ian Rickson are both old colleagues and friends. I have long hoped to have them with us here. To have them together on Hamlet is a gift. It can’t help but be one of the events of the year." The production marks the Shakespearean directorial debut of Rickson, who is shortly to be represented on Broadway by the transfer of his Royal Court production of Jerusalem. He is currently directing The Children's Hour with Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss at the West End's Comedy Theatre. Sheen was last seen on Broadway in Frost/Nixon (reprising his performance as Nixon interrogator David Frost that he originated at the Donmar Warehouse, and also played in the subsequent film version); other Broadway appearances include Mozart in Peter Hall's revival of Amadeus. The production will be designed by Jeremy Herbert, with costumes by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting by Adam Silverman, sound by Gareth Fry and music by Stephen Warbeck...
Priority booking for Friends of the Young Vic opens Feb. 1, with public booking from Feb. 15. To book tickets, contact the box office on 020 7922 2922, or visit www.youngvic.org.
Wishing I was back in the UK right about now ;)
